The AYuTe Africa Challenge Rwanda Edition 2026 which is the biggest youth agri-tech contest in Rwanda asks young innovators to develop agricultural techniques which will improve agricultural production in the country. The challenge serves as a platform which enables organizations to develop technology solutions that help farmers achieve better harvests and decrease their agricultural losses while establishing permanent income sources.
The initiative brought in 523 youth-led innovations during the previous year which resulted in 50 million Rwandan francs being given to outstanding entrepreneurs and a 600% increase in application numbers. The agricultural field showed progress through gender-inclusive practices which enabled women innovators to attain two of the top three positions.
