Lusaka, Zambia – 23 February 2026, AGRA (Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa) has strengthened its partnership with the Zambian Government through the signing Host Country Agreement.
The ceremony was attended by Honourable Minister of Agriculture Ruben Mtolo, Permanent Secretaries the UN Resident Coordinator, FAO Zambia representatives, and civil society leaders together with private sector leaders. The event highlighted a united determination to support Zambia's food systems and agricultural development initiatives.

Under the agreement, AGRA will support with Comprehensive Agriculture Transformation Support Programme CATSP implementation while providing backing to Zambia Agriculture Investment Plan implementation. The partnership will create avenues for farmer growth while developing resilient food systems and boosting agricultural sector investment.

AGRA helps smallholder farmers achieve better life standards and food security through its development of specific agricultural solutions. The organization has been operating since 2006 to assist smallholder farmers and African agribusinesses through its partnerships with governments and NGOs and private sector organizations by delivering successful solutions which enable farmers to build prosperous enterprises from their agricultural practices.

Officials called for ongoing collaboration among government agencies development partners civil society members and private sector stakeholders to achieve sustainable agriculture development throughout Zambia.
